FAQ Implementation

Frequently asked questions about implementation.

From product data and query set to tracking, live gang and verified post-release optimization.

What is needed to start?

A usable product source, insight into storefront and platform, clear ownership and a representative set of real search questions form a strong foundation.

How do you test search quality before live?

Use top queries, long-tail, brands, SKUs, typos and no-result cases. In addition to technology, also assess result sequence, filters and relevant click routes.

Does all product data have to be perfect?

No. Do map the data issues that block important search routes and prioritize them before or during implementation.

When should tracking be connected?

Preferably before live, so that baseline, acceptance test and production can be compared with the same definitions.

Can the implementation be phased?

Yes. Core search can be validated first, after which merchandising, analytics, conversion or additional discovery can be added in a controlled manner.

What happens after go-live?

Monitor search quality, index freshness, events and key KPIs. Search remains an optimization process with hypotheses, tests and releases.
